Here's my collection of thoughts and ramblings. If you're wondering why this is called "antiblog", I'm not entirely sure. I think I wanted it to be a little different than the average blog. It's not that I'm opposed to blogs or those who participate in blog related activities. I'm just a little concerned with those in our society who think that blogging means they automatically have many "virtual" friends, and that the entire world (wide web) actually wants to read about their everyday life. I feel like that kind of thinking will eventually push the human race to such a state as depicted in the animated movie WALL-E. If you haven't seen that movie, definitely do - it's hilarious. Anyways, hopefully by reading this you'll want to be my friend and become invested in my everyday life...

>> Did any of YOUR dreams come true? <<

Each year as the NBA season approaches in October, there is a week of my life that is like no other. I'm not talking about Shark Week, although that is a close second. I'm referring to the week long free preview of NBA TV (Directv channel 601). Prior to the season they air such things as training camps, workouts, team practices, 30 minute segments devoted to previewing each and every team with in-depth analysis. They even preview teams such as the Sacramento Kings, which most people didn't know still existed. To most of the 6 billion people in this world, this is quite possibly the most boring thing you could possibly watch. But for someone like me, my eyes are glued to this channel as much as possible during this hallowed week. But this year I noticed something different. First of all, the channel had been moved from 601 to 216. That's pretty good company in the 200's with other channels like SyFy, TBS (very funny), Discovery, ESPN, and Disney Channel. Secondly, I noticed I had been watching this channel for more than a week. WHAT?!?!? I promptly quit everything I was doing at the moment, including being a father, and started researching. At approximately 5:28 PM on 10/19/2009, I came across this article.

That's right, the best things in life are free ... or at least are moved to non-premiere choice packages on satellite television. My dreams are not very complicated, I'm glad this one came true. I wonder what dreams will come true in 2010? Perhaps a new chain of restaurant opens that sells nothing but various flavored cheese cubes.

The only white person that wants to see More Than A Game,

Jeremy

>> Man vs Wild vs Comedian <<

I read that in order to promote his new summer movie Land of the Lost (coming out June 5th), Will Ferrell filmed a guest appearance on the Discovery Channel show Man vs Wild. It's supposedly going to air sometime in the next month or so. He spent 48 hours with Bear Grylls as they braved the wilds of Northern Sweden, which included reppelling from a helicopter, climbing down hundred-foot frozen waterfalls, and surviving sub-zero temperatures. Supposedly their diet consisted of reindeer eyeballs and their own urine. In an interview, Ferrell said "To be able to participate in an episode of Man vs. Wild was a thrill of a lifetime, even though I did get urine drunk which is sad." I have to say I hope they only drank their own urine, and not each other's. You know it's a party when everyone starts drinking everyone's urine. Although a party I do not want an invitation to. It seems like a weird thing to do for an actor but I applaud him. And I'm not sure what I think about this movie yet, and what it will be like. I know it will be funny, but looks kind of odd. Seems very fantasy-ish for what Will Ferrell's done recently. But it has Danny McBride in it, so I'm going to see it. By the way - good news - Eastbound & Down was renewed for a second season and the first season comes out on dvd June 30th.

Anyways, looks like there's some funny stuff coming out this summer in addition to Land of the Lost. Here are some trailers to digest...

There is no I in TEAM, but if you look carefully, there is ME,

Jeremy

June 5 - Land of the Lost (Will Ferrell, Danny McBride)

June 19 - Year One (Jack Black, Michael Cera)

July 31 - Funny People (Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen)

Best Friends,

You are witnessing the two year, work in progress, unfinished, 30% complete version of my website. You might be asking, “The world has been waiting two years and this is all you got?” The short answer is yes. The long answer is yes, that’s correct. I wanted to put enough time and effort into the redesign to make it look slick and flow nicely. And these days I don’t have butt loads of free time, and I’m not a fan of staying up into the ungodly hours of the night messing around on the internet. I need sleep like a bear needs salmon. So for now all you get in this section is some sort of web log / web diary (blog / bliary), details on my award winning web design work featured in no magazines, a guestbook, and a collection of videos that I want you and all your web friends to see. Down the road I’ll be adding stuff about music, drums, and other things. I did put up several songs for you to check out, a couple different styles. Hopefully it didn’t scare you when it started automatically playing. I’ll be adding a lot more songs as well. So enjoy, and feel free to send me nice, encouraging messages from time to time. And I will smile.

The worst part about Jon and Kate Plus 8 is definitely Kate,

Jeremy
